Within 5 seconds of ressing (auto-res, not res sig), you can't lose any health. This is enough so that if the enemy is camping your res shrine in dragon arena, you can basically wipe them out completely and change the game around. Now if you're talking about being ressed from a sig, that's just poor strategy to res if you're going to get shot instantly.

these are special events. they are for a short time, something to look forward to. the wintersday arena was a blast too but if you add more and more arenas and zones, you won't find enough people to form a single team to do anything. people will flock to this for the holiday and have a lot of fun, then go back to what they were doing before.

If you want to get casual/new players into PvP, give them a place to play where the skills are set or limited.

I loved the snowball fights. That's the only time I've played PvP that I had fun. There's too many snobs, jerks, and snobby jerks in the regular arenas. I will never do regular PvP again.

I haven't tried the dragon arena- I'm afraid I'd like it and then miss it when it's gone. Good try, Anet-offering me an ice cream cone only to take away after 3 licks. I'm not licking this time.

I'm just annoyed that lag or a poor connection kinda kills you in the Dragon Arena.

Put another way, it's wasted space on a bad connection; my connection is fine, but occasional lag makes it not all that much fun.

Besides, the skills were bland and dull.

it takes little to no skill to be good in the dragon arena, it mostly depends on if your team knows how to play. 1v1 is the only true dodgeball because you cant get ganked in that. sure in the dragon arena you can dodge alot but after windborne runs out you cant stop to recast it and you get killed regardless of how good you are when you have 3-4 people on you.

/notsigned, but i would like the snowball back, that was actually fun.

I think they need more stuff like this. Honestly, there is only so much to do in this game, I would love to have a place to go and just waste time in mini-games with my friends. They could make it like the Balthazar Islands. Different parts of the islands would have different games and activities. Maybe some would be themed and traded out by season. Maybe you can have mini games that would have prizes like dyes, mods, runes and such... ales anyone? Overall, those games would be a cash sink, but they would sure alleviate the bordom that comes with logging on... knowing you WANT to be on... but just not wanting to grind that day, so you leave.

On a side note, this elitest attitude that a lot of regular PvP players have towards PvE players is interesting. It seems to keep people away from PvP. It's akin to someone wanting to play some football, walking on to the field, somewhere in the world, all ready to play, only to have some "professional" player pop up from behind a bush and harrass you for not being "good" enough. Does it make any sense? Are only the top 1% allowed to enjoy the game, or even try? "Sorry son, I'd let you go out and play with the neighborhood kids, but you throw like a beginner and I don't think you should even be let out of the house until you can throw a ball like Joe Montana." ... "Aw dad! You were allways such an A--hole!" Ahem...

It's just frustrating to play with people who don't even use basic logic or common sense in pvp games. I think that frustration turns into anger/venting after we see the same dumb mistakes in every match, over and over, and is then seen as elitism.

it wouldn't be any problems of keeping it, just don't delete it, it's fun, someone likes it and someone don't, like some one like team/random arenas and someone don't

It's driving me mad that even with 5 res sigs on their bar people still seem incapable of using them.

You know... it might not even had occured to them to keep snowball arena. But maybe now with more players subscribed and a decent chunk of them enjoying mini-games, waybe we'll all get a nice juicy update in the future. Here's to hoping.
